There are simple ways to save money while saving energy and then there are others that require more of an investment. I am sure you have all heard the following while growing. Shut the lights off when you leave a room, shut the door; what do you live in a barn? You're letting all the heat out. Don't stand there with the refrigerator door open, you're letting all the cold out. But there was much truth to these things and since most of our parents grew up in tough times, every little bit helped. The same is true today.
