There are simple ways to save money while saving energy and then there are others that require more of an investment. I am sure you have all heard the following while growing. Shut the lights off when you leave a room, shut the door; what do you live in a barn? You're letting all the heat out. Don't stand there with the refrigerator door open, you're letting all the cold out. Check for air infiltration at windows, doors and any penetrations such as a dryer vents, exhaust fans and plumbing penetrations. Check your appliances for broken seals, gaskets, or standing water.
