Save Energy While Saving Money

Throwing money away If you are tired of throwing away good money after bad, then it is time to take ACTION.

Save energy, save money.

With the rising costs of fuels these days, everyone is looking for ways to save.

There are simple ways to save money while saving energy and then there are others that require more of an investment.

I am sure you have all heard the following while growing.

Shut the lights off when you leave a room, shut the door; what do you live in a barn? You're letting all the heat out.

Don't stand there with the refrigerator door open, you're letting all the cold out.

But there was much truth to these things and since most of our parents grew up in tough times, every little bit helped.

The same is true today. We must be diligent in finding ways to combat the rising cost of living since fuel affects many parts of our lives not just heating, cooking and fueling vehicles.

Do an analysis of your home. Check for air infiltration at windows, doors and any penetrations such as a dryer vents, exhaust fans and plumbing penetrations. Check your appliances for broken seals, gaskets, or standing water. Any of these can lead to substantial energy loss. Replacement parts can easily be found here, or locally, at most home improvement stores.

These are simple fixes that don't cost a lot of money. Click on any of the following links for more energy saving information.
